About

Billie-Jay Lynch is a photographic artist, curator and educator based in London. Her practice documents the lives and experiences of friends, family and herself. She is curious about people and drawn to photographing the cultural and social stories that surround them. This journey has led her to explore the themes of identity, memory and holding a sense of belonging through portraiture.

Billie received a MA in Documentary Photography from the University of Portsmouth and BA (Hons) in Photography from the University of Cumbria. She has exhibited in many cities around the United Kingdom and in Paris. Her work has been published in the Source: The Photographic Review Magazine, Alternative Arts Magazine and DIY Youth zines.
